About Us
Lake Erie Films is a production company founded in 2022 that produces and distributes original full-length and short films and documentaries. LETV’s first film production was an inspired true story about a woman who sued God for destroying her home in 1960, entitled ACT OF GOD (2024).
Lake Erie TV is a dedicated story center inspired by one of our greatest inland lakes. Our mission is to take an inspired look at one of America’s most beautiful and popular tourist destinations and freshwater resource. We engage with the best thinkers, writers, politicians, entertainers, business leaders, scientists, and other news-makers in interviews, discussions, and stories about how policy, history, education, sports, and agriculture have shaped the people along Lake Erie’s shores.

Our mission is to create a more informed public who has an appreciation of events, food, ideas,, and culture of living along with our greatest natural asset – Lake Erie.
The goal of Lake Erie TV is to produce, acquire, and distribute programming of the highest journalism standards to bring you stories that matter and meet our viewer’s mutual interests. We will bring you stories about the businesses, nightspots, town halls, and stages, to athletics and the beaches that stretch from Toledo to Conneaut and the islands in between. We intend to tell the stories of the remarkable people who live and visit Lake Erie. Turn to us for stories that can make your life happier and more informed.

Mission
Lake Erie TV is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of our patrons through educational videos via the medium of television and the Internet. It is also our mission to assist our clients in the creative process of educational development and advisement for the benefit of their internal and external use.
With sponsorship through donations and grants from corporations, foundations, and partners, we produce, acquire, and distribute educational information through television and internet programming. Programs are broadcast on the Internet via our website, where content will be available in various viewable formats.
Our purpose is to inform, motivate, and educate. We believe that the content we develop and broadcast can contribute to a more knowledgeable consumer, and that our programs promote the education of and within our community and youth. Lake Erie TV aims to increase awareness and provide a forum for understanding our past with wisdom toward the future, resulting in creating an informative tie between our viewers and their community.
Lake Erie TV is committed to giving viewers a complete, entertaining, and enlightening multimedia experience. We are dedicated to our mission of providing a public service to our viewers while working with them to offer a distinctive voice to the community. We are dedicated to the needs of our audience without the pressure of commercial interests. We want our programming to enhance the community we serve as we highlight its diverse culture, history, and stories. Our program topics should be interesting to a wide audience, and we believe are of a high production quality, coupled with a creative storyline, good visuals, and a clear purpose.
About AJ du Fresne
AJ du Fresne is an award-winning writer and filmmaker. He has a BA in history from Bowling Green State University, an MPA in Public Administration, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Findlay. Mr. duFresne has a deep love for history and storytelling. He founded Lake Erie TV and Lake Erie Films after seven years as a professor at the University of Findlay and studio manager for UFTV. He left UFTV to embark upon a career as a producer, director, writer, and editor. He most recently won Best Short Film for Act of God at the Los Angeles Film and Documentary Awards (July 2024). Best Director of a Short Documentary at the Nice International Film Festival (May 2024). He is a Peabody nominee who has written and produced several documentaries.
